Using © C, ™ TM, ® R, symbols in Squarespace
Sometimes you may need to use © C, ™ TM, ® R, symbols in Squarespace
There is currently no specific editing function in a live text block in Squarespace that allows you change a C, R or TM into the superscript versions.
So the simplest method is just ‘copy and paste’ the symbols below into your text replacing what you have. Simple.
It even works in elements like nav and buttons.
™ = a trademark
® = a registered trademark
© = copyright
The downside is that the Symbol will be at the full point size of the specified text, which doesn’t look too bad a paragraph size, but not great at h1 size.
So the alternative is to use the code block method below.
Code Block Method
You can also add a superscript character to a headline or body, by adding the text via a code or markdown block, instead of using a text block.
Simply insert the code block in the page, as you would a text block, then add the code below, ensuring that your desired superscript symbol is between the tags.
You can change the size of the text by amending the <h1> and </h1> to h2,h3,h4 and p.
<h1>Here is my Product Name or Tagline®</h1>
